Beginning Highland Bagpipe: An introductory course for the beginning student.

Students will learn proper fingering for all notes of the bagpipe scale along with basic ornamentation. This is a round-table hands on class. Knowledge of basic music notation is helpful. All instructional material will be provided. Don’t have a practice chanter? No problem. They are readily available from online retailers starting at $60—cheaper canters do not work well.

Intermediate Bagpipe: This class is a continuation of Beginning Bagpipes. and students do not need to have taken Beginning Bagpipes to enroll.

Students do not need to have taken Beginning Bagpipes to enroll. If a student is already knowledgeable with basic bagpipe music notation and is able to accurately play the bagpipe scale with G grace notes, they can step right in. This is a roundtable, hands-on class. Students will need their own practice chanter.

Standard funeral - service and/or graveside performance.

Standard wedding - bridal march, and/or recessional.

Other requests such as a rehearsal or reception performance, required driving distance, etc., may increase fee.

Keep in mind the bagpipe is a loud instrument, and works best in an environment where the audience can be at a reasonable distance. 

The pipes, in tune and played well, produce lovely music.
